Use Cosmos in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your Cosmos Library to Claude or ChatGPT to search your videos, look up their details, and share links without leaving the chat.

Connect

  1. Add Cosmos Video Agent in the app you use, with the URL https://api.golivecosmos.com/mcp
    • Claude: open Customize, then Connectors. Click +, then Add custom connector, name it Cosmos Video Agent, and enter the URL. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it first under Organization settings, then Connectors. See Claude's guide.
    • ChatGPT: turn on developer mode, then add an app named Cosmos Video Agent with the URL. Developer mode depends on your plan and workspace settings. See ChatGPT's guide.
  2. Sign in to Cosmos when asked.
  3. Review the two permissions for your organization, then allow access: searching your Library, and creating public share links. Sharing is optional. Without it, the app can still use everything under What it can do except creating share links.
  4. Turn it on in a chat. In Claude, click + in the message box, then Connectors, and switch on Cosmos Video Agent. In ChatGPT, start a new chat and add Cosmos Video Agent from the tools menu. Then ask something like “Find videos of our team at work.”

What it can do

  • Search your Library by topic or client, with a link to the matching moment in each video.
  • Show a video's description, tags, and details such as client, type, length, and aspect ratio.
  • Find videos that look similar to one you have.
  • Summarize your Library: how many videos and hours it holds, how often its share pages have been visited, and how many of its videos you have opened.
  • Create a public share link, after you confirm it in the chat.

What you can ask

  • “Find clips of our product being unboxed.”
  • “Show me everything we made for Acme.”
  • “Tell me more about that video,” or “find videos like it.”
  • “How many of our videos have I opened?”
  • “Give me a public link to that video.”

Links

  • Cosmos links open the video in Cosmos for people signed in to your organization.
  • Public share links open for anyone who has them. You can password-protect a link or turn it off in Cosmos at any time.

Disconnect

In Cosmos, open Settings, then AI connections, and disconnect the app under Connected apps. Share links the app already created stay active until you turn them off.
